Liverpool With a L ate Equalizer As they Share The Spoils With Chelsea

The Reds are level, and you have to say they deserve it. Sheyi Ojo swings over an excellent searching cross, a backpedalling Asmir Begovic makes a complete Horlicks of it and flaps the ball to Christian Benteke, who heads into an empty net from two yards out.

And that's it. All in all, a fair result.

Suarez Worried He Would Not Fit Into Barcelona Style Next Season

 tmp_10792-suarez-109674029

Luis Suarez has revealed he was worried about not fitting into Barcelona’s playing style, when he joined in 2014.
In his debut season, the former Liverpool striker netted 25 times in 43 appearances.
This season, Suarez has scored 56 goals in 51 appearances for the Catalan club.
Upon joining from Liverpool, Suarez did not envision such a prolific spell, admitting he was troubled about fitting into the ‘tiki-taka’ style.
“I never imagined that I would be scoring goals here,” he told ESPN. “I never felt I would adapt to this team’s style of play the way I have.
“Sometimes they start the touches and I think that I can’t do that, that they will play it like that and I will just push it [toward the goal].”

Pedro Playing With Mask This Evening After Suffering A Broken Nose With A Mystery Accident At His Home

 Pedro

Pedro is playing in a mask this evening after suffering a broken nose in a "mystery incident at his home". The mind boggles. Anyway, he does brilliantly to embark on a mazy run at the heart of the Liverpool defence, but his shot is well blocked.

Chelsea Lead Liverpool With Hazard's 32nd Minute's Strike and 5th Goal This Season

GOAL - Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

 Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard
Tedium very much broken. This is an absolutely superb goal from Eden Hazard. He picks up the ball with his back to goal 30 yards out, turns, glides past three men, and passes the ball nonchalantly into the bottom corner. Brilliant.

Norwich Back On Track On Track With Mbokani's Strike

GOAL - Norwich 4-2 Watford

Dieumerci Mbokani (56 mins)
Norwich going down fighting.

A lovely, lovely goal and it's Norwich's two best players who combine.
Nathan Redmond with a silky turn to put Dieumerci Mbokani through on goal and he is as cool as a cucumber, waiting for Heurelho Gomes to go down before dinking the ball over him and into the net.
As mentioned, this result does not matter.
Sunderland lead Everton 3-0 which means the Canaries cannot catch them.

GOAL - Norwich 3-2 Watford

 Odion Ighako

Odion Ighalo (51 mins)
Goals galore.
Norwich had not woken up after half-time and pay the price.
Skipper Troy Deeney shows his imposing presence by holding off a Norwich defender, before cutting the ball back into the box.
Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo - 12 games without finding the net - finally breaks his duck, lashing home a finish to drag Watford back into the game.

Hope For Sunderland As They Lead Everton With A Lamie Kone's Brace.

GOAL - Sunderland 3-0 Everton

Lamine Kone
Surely that is game over and relegation battle over! Jermain Defoe goes close with a chip over Robles that Matthew Pennington has to scamper back to clear off the line for a corner. But from the resulting set-piece, Robles is forced to claw the ball away from Wahbi Khazri's delivery before the ball is lashed home from close range by that man Kone again.

GOAL - Sunderland 2-0 Everton

 Lamine Kone scores

Lamine Kone
Big, huge, massive! And that is just Lamine Kone. Everton fail to properly clear from a corner and the ball is headed back in by Van Aanholt and then lashed into the roof of the net by Kone. What a time to score your first Sunderland goal. The Sunderland fans are dancing in the stands.

Ighalo cuts Norwich lead after good work from Deeney. Norwich 3-2 Watford (51 mins)

Odion Ighalo who just scored just scored in the 51st minute just pulled one from relegation fighters Norwich.

Norwich 3-2 Watford - Odion Ighalo

Yes for Odion Ighalo, shake that negativity off your back son.
He can't miss, not even in the kind of form he's in. Running on to a Troy Deeney pull-back and eight yards out, it's easy pickings and he slams one into the net. Questionable defending but if we were to analyse the defending in this game, we'd need to cut down a forest to have enough paper.
Ighalo is back in the goals and Norwich are back on the ropes.

Messi: Nobody at Barcelona wants Real Madrid to win anything

Messi: Nobody at Barcelona wants Real Madrid to win anything

According To Goal.com

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has admitted everybody at the Catalan club wants Zinedine Zidane's men to finish the 2015-16 campaign trophyless, while his side win the domestic.

Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi hopes Real Madrid will lose the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.
The Catalan holders crashed out at the hands of Atletico in the quarter-finals, who then went on to reach the final at the expense of Bayern Munich.
But Messi does not bear a grudge against Diego Simeone's men and hopes they can beat the Santiago Bernabeu side.
"It is clear that the people at Barcelona do not want Real Madrid to win anything," Messi told ESPN.
"It would hugely please Barcelona if Atletico beat them in the Champions League final.
"What Atletico Madrid have done is great, it is not easy to beat them. They are a very tough opponent and [Diego] Simeone deserves credit for their performances."

Barcelona's hopes of capturing a second successive treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League ended following their defeat against Atletico and Messi now wants the domestic double to make it a successful season.
"The Champions League elimination was a major blow. We were much better than Atletico in the first half and could have decided the tie there. It was then very complicated in the return at the Vicente Calderon," he added.
"It would be great if we can end the season by winning the Liga title and the Copa del Rey. We realise it will not be easy, though. We have two finals left, one in La Liga and one in the Copa.

"We spilled a lot of points in La Liga, but recovered just in time. We still have everything in our own hands."

Athletico Madrid kiss Title Race Good Bye As they lost to Levante and Keeps Barcelona and Real Madrid to the title chase

               FC BARCELONA

Lionel Messi opened the scoring and Luis Suarez, Rafinha and Neymar added to the visitors' woes with goals of their own as Luis Enrique's men look to assure the crown
Barcelona's quest to retain La Liga remains in their own hands going in to the last day of the season, after rivals Espanyol were dispatched 5-0 at Camp Nou.

With fellow title challengers Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid kicking off simultaneously, a win was imperative for Luis Enrique's men to maintain their lead at the summit in this penultimate round.

And after Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a wonderful free-kick, Luis Suarez strengthened his own Pichichi credentials with a double to put the game beyond doubt.

Pau Lopez then gifted Rafinha a goal off the bench with an awful fumble, and Neymar also added his name to the scoresheet as Espanyol suffered a humiliating rout against their neighbours.

REAL MADRID

The star forward bagged a brace and Karim Benzema score the crucial third to ensure La Liga's title race goes to the final day
A brace from Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid to a 3-2 win over Valencia that ensures they go into the final day of the Liga season as Barcelona's only challengers for the title.
Ronaldo's 48th and 49th goals of another prolific season, which sandwiched a Karim Benzema strike, earned Zinedine Zidane's side an 11th-straight league win to keep them within a point of champions Barca, who hammered Espanyol 5-0.
Victory moves Madrid above neighbours and Champions League final opponents Atletico, who lost 2-1 at already-relegated Levante to drop out of the title race, and means they visit Deportivo La Coruna next weekend knowing that a 12th win on the spin could see them overhaul Luis Enrique's team in the most dramatic of circumstances.
Madrid were comfortable for much of Sunday's game at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Valencia indebted to goalkeeper Diego Alves for restricting Ronaldo and co to three goals.

       ATHLETICO MADRID

A goal from Fernando Torres wasn't enough as Victor Casadesus and Giuseppe Rossi struck to Diego Simeone's men can't now finish above Barcelona in the table
Atletico Madrid's La Liga title dream ended with a shock 2-1 loss at relegated Levante on Sunday.

The result left Diego Simeone's men three points behind Barcelona, but Luis Enrique's side have a superior head-to-head record and cannot be caught by Atletico, while Real Madrid are now two points ahead of their cross-city rivals.

Simeone's charges were high on confidence after winning their last six league games and reaching the Champions League final – where they will meet Real – at the expense of Bayern Munich on Tuesday, but were brought down to earth with a bang as Giuseppe Rossi netted a late goal to shunt them down to third in the table.

The Argentine coach opted to rest star attacker Antoine Griezmann, with Angel Correa getting the nod alongside Fernando Torres up front as they took on opponents whose relegation had already been confirmed.

It was Torres who gave Atletico a stunning start with a goal after just two minutes, but the visitors were unable to push on at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Levante fought hard to give their fans a fine farewell in their last home game of the season and Victor Casadesus levelled the scoring just past the half-hour mark.

Stefan Savic and substitute Griezmann had chances to win it for the away side after the break, but Levante eventually emerged victorious as Rossi scored late on to seal a remarkable win.

Atletico opened the scoring through Torres after just two minutes. Koke split Levante defence with a clever throughball and the experienced striker lifted the ball over goalkeeper Diego Marino with a deft touch to net his 10th La Liga goal of the season.
